Hi Anglers, Tony returned from another great fishing trip, a charter led by Roger Rohm from Silverado, Ca. The Weather was fine with lots of Yellowtail being landed. The Giant Humbolt Squids are back with a vengeance, creating good bait for the anglers, and great table fare. Hello Anglers. Tony returned from another successful fishing trip into the Sea of Cortez. The trip was a Charter led by Martin Downs from Bakersfield, Ca. Hi Anglers, Tony reported that the fishing is getting better each year now that he is the only sport fishing boat fishing from San Felipe. He says there is more variety and better size fish being landed. The giant squid finally showed up again after several year absence, providing great bait and delicious food for anglers. Hi Anglers,. The Tony Reyes returned last evening from another successful fishing trip into the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. The trip was a Charter hosted by Richards Tackle of Rosemead, Ca. Tony reported that they had great weather with excellent fishing and a talented group of anglers. San Barnaby Reef, San Francisquito, Snake Island, Refugio, and Enchanted Islands were the areas he fished this trip, and were very productive. Hi Anglers, an open party trip with anglers from Colorado, Arizona, California, Nevada, Florida and Idaho just returned from a successful fishing trip aboard the Tony Reyes, on the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. Tony says they had a great trip, even though there were strong currents and a full moon. Extra weight was needed in order to get down to the reefs, but the bite bite was on once you got down to the reef. Live bait and Yellowtails were caught in the San Fransiquito area. Hola Anglers, Tony returned from another successful trip chartered by Vagabundos Del Mar fishing club. Tony says they fished as far south as San Francisquito, and then fished their way north, fishing the last day at the Enchanted Islands. They landed some Groupers, and lost plenty of Groupers at Refugio. There was a good variety of fish, and the cabrillas were good sized. They had good weather throughout the trip. Hola Pescadores, Tony returned Friday evening with a happy group of anglers on an open party trip. Tony says, they caught a little bit of everything. Cabrilla, Yellowtail, a couple of Big Groupers, Black Sea Bass, Red Snappers, Barred Pargo, and the Dorado showed up to round out a great trip. Some big fish broke lines, showing the anglers who the Jefe's (Bosses) of The Sea of Cortez were. The weather was breezy, along with some swells, made it difficult to fish at times.
